Yu-Ping Tsai
Winner of 2016 Chiang Mai Ginastera International Music Festival, winner of 2016 Taiwan National Student Competition of Music and third place recipient of 2017 Academy of Taiwan Violin Competition, violinist Yu-Ping Tsai is gaining attention for her eloquent performance with great technique and virtuosity. Maxim Vengerov praised her superb and brilliant performance in his master-class.
Yu-Ping Tsai was born in Taiwan and began playing the violin at the age of six. As a scholarship holder at the National Wu-Ling Senior High School, Yu-Ping studies violin with Szu-Ying Wang. While attending Wu-Ling, she won Wu-Ling Concerto Competition and made her debut with Wu-Ling Philharmonic Orchestra in 2015. In 2017, she debuted with Academy of Taiwan Strings in Taiwan National Concert Hall and then gave a Solo Recital in Taoyuan Concert Hall, Taiwan.
She has participated in numerous master classes with great violin masters, including Maxim Vengerov, Anne-Sophie Mutter, Agata Szymczewska, Andrew Watkinson, Bin Huang, Keng-Yuen Tseng. In 2016, She participated in Europe Music Festival & Academy, and attended the Heifetz International Music Institute in 2017.
